I'm a woman with a million hobbies. Some last, others fade away, leaving me with a drawer or a garage full of the remnants of that short-lived fascination. I think my ADHD has something to do with the unabashed head-first dives into all my hobbies because that dopamine hit is SO GOOD. Whether it was writing romance novels, going back to school to pursue physical therapy, crocheting, cottagecore, or being a triathlete, my hobbies have their season when I am just all about it.

Take DIY, for example. It's been my thing for a few years, and I'm thinking it's one of my few hobbies that is going to last. I picked up DIY because, in short, I am a cheap ass bitch. I say this with respect for myself, full-well knowing it's true. I couldn't stomach the thought of paying a contractor thousands of dollars to help me turn my home into something my dreams were made of. So I dove in, as I usually do with all new shiny captivators. Paintbrush in hand, I transformed the home I called the ugly duckling, given its "Corona with a lime in it" yellow walls everywhere. I learned that I prefer neutrals to vibrant colors, and I will try just about anything, no matter how underqualified I may be (here's looking at you, unsanded shelves, and awkwardly cut flooring). I guess I just believe it will all work out, one way or another. That optimism and willingness to try and fail is what brings me here, today, starting up a new blog for all of my DIY adventures to live outside of Instagram.

I believe in sharing the process, no matter how tragic, and being my true floor troll self with more of the internet. High fives and fist pumps to all the other doers out there putting in the work and making their dreams come true. I'm happy to have you along on my road to home happiness!
